GE Gator Texturizer Shear 7.5 in 21Tth

Geib's Gator Texturizer Shear is a 7.5 inch, 21-tooth texturizing shear for pet grooming, from the brand's Gator line. Texturizing shears like this one are used to add texture and break up bulk in the coat, rather than make a single clean cut the way a straight shear does. At 7.5 inches with a 21-tooth edge, it sits between a full blending shear and a finishing shear, meant for detail work once the main shape of the cut is already in place. As a rule, a lower tooth count than a full blending shear means more hair moves with each pass, which suits texturizing work rather than a fine, gradual blend.

A 7.5 inch, 21-tooth texturizing shear from Geib's Gator line.

• 21 teeth along the blade, spaced for texturizing rather than a single clean cut.
• 7.5 inch length, sized between a full-size shear and a fine detail shear.
• Texturizer style, built to add texture and break up bulk in the coat.
• Part of Geib's Gator line, built for pet grooming rather than general household use.
• Categorized in our Pro Equipment & Tools shears section, where the rest of Geib's shears live too.
• It's the shear that follows a straight or curved shear, once the main shape of the cut is set.
• Tooth count and length worth comparing to whatever texturizing shear you currently use.
• Slots into a kit where a straight or curved shear is already covering the bulk of the cut.
• Built as a dedicated texturizing shear rather than an all-purpose trimmer.
• Sized for control on detail areas of the coat rather than clearing bulk quickly.

Shears like this typically come out near the end of a groom, once the coat is shaped and it's time to soften and texture the finish. We list it under our Pro Equipment & Tools shears category. If your grooming kit needs a dedicated texturizing shear, the Gator Texturizer Shear gives you a 7.5 inch, 21-tooth option from Geib's Gator line. It's built to work alongside the straight and curved shears already doing the heavy lifting in your kit. Compare the tooth count and length to what you're used to, and it's ready to add texture the next time you're finishing a cut on a pet in the chair.
