Burrow Dog Toys

Burrow toys turn a plush into a game. The dog has to nose, paw, and tug the little squeakers out of a den, then you stuff them back in and start again. It is quiet work that settles a busy dog, and it fills a rainy afternoon better than almost anything.

We stock several dozen of these, with ZippyPaws leading on Zippy Burrow dens: hedgehogs in a log, a monkey in a banana, donutz in a box, plus holiday shapes like gingerbread houses and yule logs. Outward Hound's Hide A Squirrel is the classic tree trunk version. GURU's Hide-A-Tail plush come in medium and large with sloth, shark, and cow faces, and the Huxley and Kent Seek 'N Treat flowers add crinkle alongside the squeak. Nina Ottosson and PetShop by Fringe Studio round out the shelf.

Most run ten to twenty dollars, with a few of the bigger ones closer to thirty. Pick a size your dog can actually grip, and sit in on the first few rounds.
