Why owners like it

• Extreme foam density gives beneficial bacteria more surface area per square inch to colonize and get to work.
• More surface area for bacteria means stronger biological filtration, helping your tank process fish waste and hold water parameters steadier.
• The same dense foam catches debris and particulate matter as water passes through, handling mechanical filtration too.
• Combining both filtration types in a single sponge simplifies your setup instead of stacking separate media and cartridges.
• The XL size gives bacteria a larger surface to establish on, for tanks that need more filtration capacity.
• The black finish keeps the filter understated against your tank decor.

It is a straightforward sponge design, with no complicated media chambers or cartridges to assemble or replace, whether you are setting up a new tank or upgrading filtration on an established one.
