Material and Construction

The BIO-FLEX Detangling Pet Brush is constructed with a patented handle made from compressed plant fiber - specifically 100% cornstarch - which gives the brush its eco-friendly, biodegradable properties. The handle is durable and designed to function optimally for years of regular grooming use. When the brush reaches the end of its useful life and is discarded, the plant-based handle breaks down organically to create a natural fertilizer rather than contributing to plastic waste. The flexible nylon pins are designed to move with the coat during brushing, reducing resistance and making the detangling process gentler on the dog's skin and coat.

Usage, Application, and Frequency Guidance

Use the BIO-FLEX Detangling Pet Brush on wet or dry coats. For wet detangling, apply after bathing while the coat is still damp to work through tangles before drying. For dry use, brush through the coat in the direction of hair growth to remove loose hair and smooth tangles between baths. The flexible nylon pins adapt to the coat's texture, making the brush suitable for a wide range of coat types and lengths. Frequency of use depends on the dog's coat type and tangle tendency - regular brushing between grooming sessions supports coat health and reduces matting.

Functional Use

Detangling, Shedding Control, Coat Maintenance

The BIO-FLEX Detangling Pet Brush functions as a gentle detangling and coat maintenance tool for use on wet or dry coats. The flexible nylon pins work through tangles and knots without the rigid resistance of traditional pin brushes, making it particularly effective for post-bath detangling when the coat is more susceptible to breakage. It is designed for use as part of a regular grooming routine and pairs well with other Bass Pet Brushes for a complete coat care system.

Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance

• Use with gentle, even pressure - the flexible pins are designed for light detangling, not heavy-duty mat removal
• Do not use on severely matted coats without first working through mats with a dedicated dematting tool
• Inspect the pin head regularly for bent or missing pins that could affect brushing performance
• Do not expose the cornstarch handle to prolonged soaking in water, which may accelerate breakdown of the plant-based material
• Store in a clean, dry location to maintain handle integrity and pin condition

Cleaning and Maintenance

Remove accumulated hair from the pin head after each use. Rinse the brush head under warm water to remove debris and residue, then wipe clean with a soft cloth. Avoid prolonged soaking of the handle in water to preserve the integrity of the cornstarch material. Allow the brush to dry fully before storage. Store in a dry location away from excessive moisture to maintain both the plant handle and nylon pin performance over time.
