Why owners like it

• CaribSea calls PurpleUp's dual method approach to coralline algae acceleration so unique that PurpleUp has been awarded US patent No. 7,565,883.
• Dissolved calcium levels in your aquarium water rise right away, the brand says, thanks to the ionic calcium in PurpleUp.
• Calcium, strontium, magnesium, and carbonate are delivered right where they're needed, CaribSea says, as Super Sea Calcium targets the live rock surface and dissolves in place.
• CaribSea notes that closed systems quickly deplete iodine, an essential element for coralline algae tissues, and says PurpleUp also replenishes it.
• Nuisance algae growth is not something PurpleUp promotes, per CaribSea.
